ABOUT RACHEL
Rachel Handy, RDMS, brings more than 22 years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography to New Mexico Sonographics, with specialized expertise in maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk obstetric imaging. She is registered in both OB/GYN and Fetal Echocardiography and has extensive experience performing detailed fetal anatomy examinations and fetal cardiac imaging.
In addition to her clinical work, Rachel serves as Operations Manager at New Mexico Sonographics. Her role combines her depth of sonography experience with a commitment to supporting the team and helping maintain high standards of care across the practice.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Rachel earned her Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Central New Mexico Community College. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to continued learning and professional growth, particularly in the specialized field of maternal-fetal medicine.
She is also passionate about supporting the next generation of sonographers through mentorship and education, sharing the knowledge and experience she has gained throughout her career.
BEYOND THE PRACTICE
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, and making memories with her family.
